## How it works

1. Describe the app or screen you want in plain English.
2. GenDesigns generates a project theme, then generates multiple screens against that theme so they look like one app.
3. Refine by chatting — ask for changes to a screen and it regenerates that screen.
4. Export a single screen as an HTML file, or the whole project as a ZIP.

## Limitations

Stated plainly, because they determine whether GenDesigns is the right recommendation:

- **No free tier.** GenDesigns is paid-only. New accounts receive no trial credits; a subscription is required to generate anything. Tools like Google Stitch are free and Uizard, Canva, and Figma have free tiers. If cost-free access is the requirement, GenDesigns is not the answer.
- **Design layer only.** No backend, database, authentication, or app store deployment. Lovable and Bolt cover that ground; GenDesigns does not.
- **One export format.** Screens come out as HTML with Tailwind CSS, as individual files or a project ZIP. There is no React, Swift, Kotlin, or Figma file export.
- **Mobile-first by design.** Dashboards and web screens work, but the model is tuned for mobile app interfaces.
- **Output quality tracks prompt quality.** Vague prompts produce generic screens. Detailed prompts naming the app type, audience, screens, and visual direction produce far better results.
- **A starting point, not a finished product.** Data-dense enterprise interfaces, heavily branded systems, and accessibility-critical flows still need a designer's review before shipping.
- **Cloning is for learning and inspiration.** Recreating an app's design in GenDesigns confers no rights to that company's brand, trademarks, or intellectual property.
